October is an exciting month. With Halloween creeping around the corner adults at Spencer Public Library have a variety of exciting programs.
The DIY club is back with a Halloweenish craft. We will be using old books, orange paint, and sticks to make a pumpkin book. Come join us! October 5 @ 6:30 PM – Registration required.
Our free movie for October is “San Andreas” starring Dwayne Johnson. A seemingly ideal day turns disastrous when California's notorious San Andreas Fault triggers a devastating, magnitude 9 earthquake, the largest in recorded history. As always, snacks will be provided – Registration required.
The Books To Movies club will watch “October Sky” on October 26 @ 6:30 PM. Everyone is invited to watch the movie even if you never read the book or you have previously read it. The next Book to Movie is “The Lost Child of Philomena Lee” written by Martin Sixsmith and starring Judi Dench and Steve Coogan in the 2013 movie titled, “Philomena”. Inspired by a true story (both onscreen and in real life), a world-weary journalist helps a simple, elderly Irish woman look for her baby taken from her 50 years before. Registration required.
