Then, at 2:00 pm, it's time for the teens to have a little fun. Join us for the Chocolate Olympics. 
Compete in fun and delicious games starring your favorite sweet treats.

At 2:00 pm, challenge your friends to some classic carnival, playground, and obstacle course games. This time, however, you'll be playing in the dark, and the only light will be coming from the games themselves!

Toddler "Drive-In" Movie & Family Book Club



June's special Jr. SRP event for our youngest patrons is the "Drive-In" Movie. Toddlers and preschoolers are invited to the Round Room on Saturday morning, June 25th at 10:00 am to create their own car, airplane, or other vehicles out of a cardboard box. Then we will "drive" our vehicles in to watch a video.

Family Book Club: Magic Tree House #16: Hour of the Olympics
Saturdays at 2:00 pm, June 25th & July 23rd
Kids and adults read together! Families with kids in K-2nd grade who are learning and working on reading will enjoy sharing this story and meeting for discussion and activities.

The ISU Insect Zoo will be visiting to bring us their Bug Olympics program. Join us on the evening of Tuesday, June 21st at 5:30 pm, and all ages are invited.

This special storytime combines stories and play in a unique and calming way. Standard yoga poses (simplified for children) are paired with familiar picture books to encourage kids to keep their minds as well as their bodies healthy....Yoga mats will be provided.

Take a plain t-shirt and turn it into a custom jersey of your own!
Use your own name or get creative and make a jersey with your favorite book, movie, TV show character, super hero, animal,  etc.

Summer Reading Program Magic Show



Magician Rick Brammer visited us in April during National Library Week to teach a magic class.  On Friday, June 10th at 10:00 am he will be returning to do a magic show.

We provide the cupcakes, you provide the creativity. Work as a team or individual and design a cupcake to be entered into different categories. Frosting and other decorations will be provided.

Teen Book Club



Teen Book Club
Our book for the summer is 
The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey. “Cassie is on the run and desperately trying to save her brother after four waves of deadly alien attacks have left most of Earth decimated.” All teens will get a copy of the book to keep. In each meeting we’ll discuss the book, eat pizza, enjoy fun crafts and activities, and even watch the movie. Our first meeting is on June 8th at 2:00 pm. You must have signed up by Monday, June 6th to participate.

Saturday, July 30, 5:00 PM – Dennis Blocker – Journey to the Heart of Hell – Dennis Blocker was lead researcher on Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Mitch Weiss’s non-fiction book, The Heart of Hell: The Untold Story of Courage and Sacrifice in the Shadow of Iwo Jima. After the death of his Grandfather, Blocker set out on an epic journey to find the crew who served with his Grandfather on Landing Craft infantry 449 in the Pacific campaign. He interviewed over 100 survivors and family members to piece together the eight critical months leading up to the battle of Iwo Jima.
